Giving Education a Body: From the First National Conference to the Pathways of an Educating Community
Abstract
Abstract: The First National Conference on Embodied Education (Gaeta, 20–21 June 2025) offered an opportunity to rethink education through the interdependence of body, cognition, emotions and environment. This editorial traces the main perspectives emerging from the dialogue between research, schools and local communities: embodied and situated learning, educational relationships, psychophysical awareness, expressive languages, inclusion, teacher professional development and responsible uses of technology. The contributions are approached as converging trajectories rather than as individual reports. Particular emphasis is placed on methodological pluralism, evidence-informed reflection and sustained collaboration among universities and educational settings, in order to support a more participatory and genuinely transformative educational culture.
